This is the Ardbeg Grooves Committee Release, the Islay distillery's bottling for Ardbeg Day 2018, whose motto was "Peat & Love". It is a limited edition single malt at a cask strength of 51.6% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
It is an experimental bottling, matured in wine casks that were heavily charred. The charring left deep grooves in the wood, which is described as giving a smoky and spicy aroma.
