Ardbeg – Heavy Vapours Committee Release

Ardbeg Heavy Vapours is a single malt Islay whisky made as a Committee Release. For this edition the distillery set aside the purifier that normally steadies the spirit's aromatic balance, which gives a more heavily peated result. The nose is led by creosote and tar, softened by dark chocolate, with a vegetal note of grilled artichoke. The palate begins spicy and floral, with cardamom, peppermint, eucalyptus, chocolate and roasted coffee. The long finish brings cinnamon and aniseed sweets.
