Ardbeg Perpetuum is a limited edition Islay single malt bottled in 2015 to celebrate Ardbeg distillery's 200th anniversary. It brings together older and younger whiskies matured in bourbon and sherry casks, bottled at 47.4% ABV. The stated release size is approximately 72,000 bottles, although that figure is unconfirmed.
Alongside its smoky, peaty character, the nose offers juicy apple, dried fruit and subtle oak. Dark chocolate, sea salt and toasted hazelnuts shape the palate, with lingering peat and caramel on the finish.
