Ardbeg Perpetuum is a 2015 limited edition Islay single malt, released for Ardbeg's 200th anniversary and launched on Ardbeg Day, 30 May 2015. It is a vatting of whiskies matured for at least 10 years in bourbon and sherry casks, and 7600 bottles were made.
On the nose it shows soot and pine resin with dark chocolate, caramel, ground coffee, oak and hazelnut. The palate is creamy and fresh, with peat smoke building alongside orange and grapefruit, and the finish carries linseed oil and a trace of sherry cask.
