Ardbeg – Smokiverse Single Malt Scotch Whisky (75cl, 48.3%)

Ardbeg Smokiverse is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 48.3% ABV (96.6 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It is a Committee release built around High Gravity Mashing, a technique that uses less water and more grain in the mash to raise the sugar content and the yeast's influence during fermentation. The result is an unusually high ester count. The nose offers muscovado sugar, ripening barley and toasted sourdough, with sweet peat smoke and ripe tropical fruits. The palate is rich, creamy and concentrated, with a heavy mouthfeel that lingers.
