A special edition of Ardbeg bottled for Fèis Ìle, the Islay festival held each spring. It was matured in both port casks and bourbon casks, and is bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtering, in a 70cl bottle. It may be the first time an official Ardbeg has been bottled from port casks.
Deep golden in colour, it has a big nose of familiar Ardbeg smoke, juicy red fruit, floral notes, mint and burnt almonds. The palate is full and oily, with a pleasing sweetness, toffee, sea salt and baked apples.
