This is an Islay single malt from Ardbeg, aged for 19 years and released as Batch 5 in 2023. It takes its name from the Traigh Bhan beach and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured in a combination of American oak and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose brings medicinal peat smoke, tar and smoked fish. On the palate come toffee, dark chocolate and a hint of aniseed, with sea salt and a briny edge. The finish is long, with spice and a gentle sweetness.
