Ardbeg Trudernish 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt named after the settlement of Trudernish on the island's 'Enchanted Cape'. It is bottled at 48.8% ABV and is non-chill filtered.
The whisky is matured in bourbon barrels, new charred oak and Oloroso sherry casks. It joins Ardbeg's permanent range rather than being a committee or festival bottling.
The nose offers earthy peat, gentle woodsmoke and vanilla cream with caramel-fudge sweetness. On the palate it is silky, with pine, woodsmoke, damp forest floor, black liquorice, chocolate-covered lime, mint and orchard fruit. The finish is long, with peat embers, vanilla bean and toasted nuts.
