Ardbeg – Uigeadail Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 54.2%)

Ardbeg Uigeadail is a peated Islay single malt, bottled at a cask strength of 54.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered, which keeps its full body and depth. The nose is rich and heavy with smoke and spice: Christmas cake, walnut oil and Parma violets alongside sea spices, cedar and pine needles, with smouldering charcoal, leather, syrupy caramel and chocolate-covered raisins. The palate starts sweet like Christmas cake, then turns to winter spice and smoke, with honey-glazed smoked meat and treacle. The finish is very long, with lingering raisin, mocha and aromatic smoke.
