Ardbeg Uigeadail is an Islay single malt without an age statement. It takes its name from Loch Uigeadail, the distillery's water source, and is bottled at 54.2% ABV, non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
It is a vatting of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, which brings together peat smoke, warming spice and sweetness.
The nose offers Christmas cake, walnut oil, Parma violets and sea air, with cedar, pine needles, coal smoke and leather. The palate starts sweet before winter spices, honey-smoked meat and treacle arrive. The finish is long, with raisins, dark chocolate, espresso and smoke.
