This is Ardbeg Wee Beastie, a five-year-old Islay single malt bottled at 47.4% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration.
The young age is the point of the bottling. Rather than release it without an age statement, Ardbeg chose to put the five years on the label, so that the fiery, characterful distillate is not hidden by the cask and comes through clearly in its full smoky force.
