Ardnahoe Bholsa is an Islay single malt from the Ardnahoe distillery, matured mainly in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 50% ABV. It is naturally coloured and not chill-filtered. On the nose there are redcurrants, plums, orange zest and roasted nuts, with a light but present peat smoke. The palate brings raisins, dates and milk chocolate over a peaty base, and the finish is long, peppery and salty, with a maritime, mineral edge.
