Ardnamurchan – 2019 5 Years Old Chairman's Stock Single Cask Oloroso Hogshead Cadenhead's (70cl, 59.9%)

This is a five-year-old single cask Ardnamurchan from the Highlands, distilled in 2019 and matured in an Oloroso hogshead. Bottled by Cadenhead's at a cask strength of 59.9% in a 70cl bottle, it is limited to 312 bottles. It belongs to Cadenhead's Chairman's Stock, a collection released in honour of the late chairman Hedley G Wright and drawn from single casks in his private collection. The nose offers earthy tomato purée, oregano, mezcal and sugarcane. The palate turns savoury, with pancetta, strawberry tart jelly, BBQ ribs and bothy fire, and the finish brings sea salt, paprika, marjoram and molasses.
