Ardnamurchan AD 04.21:03 was bottled in 2021 at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in a mix of 35% Spanish sherry casks and 65% American bourbon casks.
It comes from the Ardnamurchan peninsula in the western Highlands, where the distillery runs on renewable energy.
The nose has honey-drizzled orchard fruits, vanilla cream and gentle coastal brine, with a little fragrant peat smoke. The palate moves from toffee and butterscotch to stewed pears, baked apples and toasted malt, with mild pepper and delicate maritime smoke. The finish is medium to long, with honeyed sweetness, vanilla oak and gentle peat.
