Ardnamurchan – AD/10.21:06 Single Malt Batch 6 (46.8%)

This is Batch 6 of Ardnamurchan single malt, bottled at 46.8%. It is the last release to carry a batch number on the label. The whisky is a vatting of 65% bourbon cask and 35% sherry cask spirit, made from a half-and-half mix of peated and unpeated malted barley. It is at least five years old, with a good share of older casks distilled in 2014. The nose is malty and sweet, with bourbon vanilla and a little peat. On the palate come honey, melon and oak, then more vanilla, leading to a clean, medium to long finish with less smoke than the previous bottling.
