Ardnamurchan AD 12:14 CK.440 is a single cask malt matured in a sherry butt, cask number 440, from 2014 to 2021. It is bottled at a cask strength of 59.1% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration or added colouring.
The distillery stands on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in the Highlands and makes both peated and unpeated spirit.
The nose offers dried fruits, Christmas cake, dark chocolate and nutmeg, with leather and tobacco. The palate is full-bodied and strongly sherried, with ripe plums, dark berries, cinnamon and caramelised nuts against oak tannins. The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate, dried fruits and oak spice, fading to dryness.
