The Midgie is a limited Ardnamurchan single malt from the Highlands, and this is its second batch, released by the distillery in 2025. It takes its name from a gnat species that is very common in Scotland and regarded as a pest.
The whisky brings together peated and unpeated spirit from 2017, 2018 and 2019. It matured in bourbon, port and sherry casks. It is bottled at 48% without colouring or chill-filtration, and 16,500 bottles exist worldwide.
