The Midgie is a limited Ardnamurchan single malt from the Highlands, and this is its third batch, released by the distillery in 2026. It takes its name from a gnat species that is very common in Scotland and regarded as a pest.
The whisky brings together peated and unpeated spirit. It matured in bourbon casks along with tawny port and ruby port casks. It is bottled at 48% without colouring or chill-filtration, and 9,742 bottles are planned worldwide.
