This is Ardnamurchan Cask Strength, the AD02.22 release, a peated single malt bottled at cask strength. It is a limited edition.
The spirit is a blend of 90 per cent ex-bourbon casks and 10 per cent ex-sherry casks, using both peated and unpeated bourbon casks. It then had a 13 month finish in Speyside whisky casks.
Tasting notes include pear, almond tart, sea salt and ginger spice, along with tobacco leaf and rich peat smoke. The nose offers salted caramel, ginger, menthol and fresh smoked salmon.
