Ardnamurchan Sherry Cask is a single malt now part of the permanent range at the Ardnamurchan Distillery. It is a vatting of 21 casks, both Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry, mixing peated and unpeated whiskies. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines peat smoke, red fruit, coffee grounds, mint, chocolate, nuts and relish. On the palate, maritime smoke soon gives way to sweet sherry notes of cherries, plums and cocoa, alongside meaty touches of bacon and smoked sausage. The finish is medium in length, salty and spicy.
