Ardnamurchan Single Malt is a Highland single malt from the Ardnamurchan distillery on the west coast of Scotland, near Fort William and Oban. The distillery opened in 2014, after seven years of planning by the independent bottler Adelphi. The malt is made from an equal split of peated and unpeated barley. It is matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks, 65% of the whisky, with the remaining 35% from ex-sherry casks. The distillery also runs on renewable energy and makes use of its by-products.
