An Armagnac from Janneau, matured for five years in the Gascony region of south-west France. It is distilled in continuous copper stills and aged in French oak barriques. At 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle, it has a seductive amber colour. The nose opens with vibrant notes of mature fruit, light spices and a hint of vanilla from the oak. On the palate it is elegant and rounded, with notes of plum, caramel and a touch of pepper, and a long, pleasantly persistent finish. Serve at room temperature, ideally in a tulip glass.
