An Armagnac from the south-west of France, aged for a minimum of seven years in French oak barrels. It has a bright amber colour and an intense aromatic bouquet.
The nose shows vanilla and caramel, with ripe fruit such as plum and apricot, plus black pepper and cinnamon. On the palate it is velvety and full, with an excellent balance between sweetness and acidity, and flavours of dried fruit, sweet spice and a light toasted wood aftertaste. The finish is long and persistent. It suits after-dinner drinking, dark chocolate and aged cheeses.
