Chevalier d'Espalet Tradition is an Armagnac, a spirit distilled from wine, blended from several armagnacs made mainly in Bas Armagnac and Ténarèze. It is produced by Janneau, a French house founded in 1851 in Condom, in the heart of the Armagnac region. Janneau is one of the few houses that distil, age and bottle entirely within the region, with the ageing done in French oak casks. The aroma is fruity, with vanilla and hints of wood, followed by a classic aftertaste. It is suited to the end of a meal, warming the glass in the hands to bring out the scent.
