Arran 10 Year Old is a single malt from the Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran, in a 70cl bottle. It matures for ten years in American bourbon casks, then spends a further nine months in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at natural colour and without chill-filtration.
The nose brings candied citrus, floral honey, butterscotch and a little sweet liquorice. On the palate there are ripe orchard fruits, green apple, citrus peel and gentle sweet oak, leading to a long, clean finish with toasted hazelnut, cinnamon and sweet spice.
