Arran 10 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Arran Distillery at Lochranza, which opened in 1995. It is entirely unpeated and is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and at natural colour.
The tall narrow stills and coastal maturation are behind its bright, honeyed, orchard fruit style.
The nose is rich, honeyed and malty, with soft vanilla and coconut over a lift of citrus. The palate is full and rounded, with honey, malt, orchard fruits and a distinct hazelnut note. The finish is clean and warming, of medium length, closing on citrus, soft oak and lingering nuttiness.
