Arran 10 Year Old is the flagship single malt of the Isle of Arran Distillery at Lochranza. It is made from unpeated malt, double-distilled, and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spends ten years in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, refill American and European oak. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The distillery has been independent since its first spirit ran in 1995.
The nose offers candied citrus, honey, vanilla, green apple and butterscotch. On the palate there are orchard fruits, vanilla cream, honey and sweet oak, with hazelnut and cinnamon spice. The finish is long, clean and refreshing, with baked apple and citrus zest.
