This is a 17 year old single malt from the Arran distillery, released in 2014 as a limited edition of 9000 bottles. It was distilled from unpeated barley, matured in ex-sherry casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is antique gold with copper highlights. The nose brings warm spices, candied citrus peel and tinned mandarins alongside orchard fruits. On the palate there is sweet spice and cigar tobacco, with dark chocolate and orange oils emerging when water is added. The finish is long and warm, with sherry wood character and a puff of bonfire smoke.
