Arran Barrel Reserve is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Arran, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured entirely in first-fill American oak bourbon casks for approximately seven to eight years, without sherry wood.
The nose brings poached pears, lemon curd, vanilla custard, shortbread and white chocolate, with hints of sea air and yellow blossom. The palate is sweet and creamy, with grassy malt, crisp apple, lemon and grapefruit peel, white pepper and charred oak. The finish is clean and crisp, with green apple peel and oak shavings.
