Arran – Machrie Moor Cask Strength (70cl, 56.2%)

Machrie Moor Cask Strength is a peated single malt from the Arran distillery, part of The Peated Arran Malt series and bottled by the distillery. It is bottled at a cask strength of 56.2% after maturing in ex-bourbon casks. The peat smoke sits alongside the fresh fruitiness that characterises Arran, while the bourbon casks add vanilla, light sweetness and a little wood. The nose is peaty with fresh citrus and vanilla, then fruit and sweet malt. The palate combines peat smoke, citrus and sweet vanilla on a malty base. The finish is long and smoky, with citrus, vanilla and warm spices.
