Arran – Port Cask Finish (70cl, 50%)

Arran Port Cask Finish is a Highland single malt from the Arran Wine Series, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spent around eight years in traditional oak before being finished in Port casks from an artisan producer in the Douro Valley. It has an intense, deep colour, and the distillery pairs its soft, honeyed character with the richness of the Port. The nose is cinnamon and baked apples. The palate shows vanilla spice, ripe citrus, dried fruits and nuttiness, with mandarin, fudge and honey coming through when water is added. The finish is spice, bitter orange, chocolate and cherries.
