Arran Sauternes Cask Finish is a single malt Scotch bottled at 50% ABV. The whisky is matured in oak casks for eight years, then finished in Sauternes casks, the sweet white wine casks of Bordeaux, chosen by the Master Distiller from a small producer.
The nose offers honey sweetness and citrus. The palate is richly honeyed, with a lifting zestiness that moves into spice and zingy saltiness. As it opens, vanilla and sultana come forward, followed by toasted oak. The finish is sweet, with honey, apricot, melon and honeysuckle.
