The Arran Port Cask Finish (50%)

The Arran Port Cask Finish is a single malt that spent about eight years maturing in traditional oak casks before a finish in Port casks. Those casks came from an artisan producer of the Portuguese fortified wine, and the maturation was overseen by the distillery's master distiller. It is bottled at 50% ABV. The nose offers cinnamon and baked apples. The palate brings vanilla spice, ripe citrus, dried fruits and nuttiness, with more mandarin, fudge and honeyed notes coming through when water is added. The finish carries spice, bitter orange, chocolate and cherries.
