This is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Arran distillery on the Isle of Arran, bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 70cl bottle.
The malt is matured in oak casks for eight years, then finished in Sauternes casks, which are Bordeaux sweet white wine casks chosen by the Master Distiller from a small producer.
The nose is honey sweetness and citrus. The palate is richly honeyed with a lifting zestiness, then spice and a little salt, before vanilla, sultana and toasted oak. The finish brings honey, apricot, melon and honeysuckle.
