Arran – Port Wood Finish (70cl, 50%)

This is a single malt from the Isle of Arran distillery, bottled in 2024 in a 70cl bottle at a cask strength of 50% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The whisky spent eight years in refill bourbon casks before a finish in Portuguese port casks. The distillery's master distiller judged the length of that finish to balance fruit sweetness with the house character. The nose combines vanilla spice, ripe citrus, dried fruit and nuts. On the palate there are mandarin, caramel fudge, honey and nutty flavours. The finish is long and soft.
