This is an 11-year-old Auchentoshan, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2021 by Best Dram at 52.7% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The outturn is 249 bottles.
The whisky was finished in a first-fill Ecuador rum barrel, which gave it notes of tropical fruit such as pineapple, mango and coconut.
The nose is dry straw, then young pineapple and mango with desiccated coconut. The palate is smooth and soft, with oats and barley, pineapple that is gentler than on the nose, and ripe mango at the end. The finish is medium in length and soft, with a pleasant fruit sweetness.
