Auchentoshan – 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Auchentoshan 12 Year Old is a Lowland single malt from the distillery on the River Clyde in Glasgow, which triple distils all of its whisky. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit spends twelve years maturing in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, which brings together bright citrus tones and deeper toffee richness. The nose offers crème brûlée, candied citrus and toasted almonds. On the palate come caramel, fresh tangerine and a soft nuttiness, followed by a gentle, warming finish with lingering sweetness and a little spice.
