A 12-year-old Lowland single malt from Auchentoshan, bottled in the 1980s at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The whisky was distilled in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
It dates from the years when the distillery still used direct-fired stills, before the change to steam in the 1990s. Some of the casks used were older than 12 years, which gives this bottling a muskier character than a typical 12 year old.
