This is a single cask Auchentoshan, distilled in 1981 and bottled at 15 years old by Cadenhead's for its Authentic Collection, in a 75cl bottle. Auchentoshan is a Lowland distillery and the only one in Scotland to use triple distillation exclusively.
On the nose there is oak furniture, Christmas spices and fresh green apple, with a hint of fudge. The palate starts chocolatey, then brings milky tea, coconut flakes, cut grass and nutmeg. The finish is floral, with chocolate brownie and orange.
