Auchentoshan 18 Year Old is a Lowland single malt, triple-distilled and matured for eighteen years in ex-bourbon American oak and Spanish Oloroso sherry oak casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The longer maturation brings deep, oaky flavours. Tasting notes describe tobacco leaf and green tea, with hints of budding flowers and sweet barley, and a citrus note in the finish.
