A 29 year old Auchentoshan from the 1988 vintage, a triple-distilled single malt finished in PX sherry casks.
The whisky was distilled in 1988 and matured in Spanish oak casks before its PX sherry finish. It was bottled in 2019 at 49.7% as a limited edition.
The sherry casks show clearly in the flavour, which is rich and sweet, with butterscotch and caramel.
