This is a 20 year old Lowland single malt from Auchentoshan, drawn from a single first-fill ex-Bourbon cask and bottled by the SMWS in a 70cl bottle. It is one of 427 bottles produced for the Lowland Spirit 2024 festival.
Auchentoshan is the only distillery in Scotland to use triple distillation exclusively.
The nose brings banana bourbon syrup, salted caramel sauce, candied grapefruit peel and Indian guava cheese. On the palate there is guava in a tropical cocktail with pineapple-infused rum and lime. With water, it turns to lemon and raspberry macarons, cloudy lemonade, coconut chutney and mint tea.
