Auchentoshan 21 Year Old is a triple-distilled single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was aged in second-fill sherry casks, and the sherry influence stays measured rather than dominant. It is the flagship of the core Auchentoshan range.
The nose is soft and supple, with dry grass, fruity notes, a citrus edge and very floral honey. The palate is oily and nutty, dry and rounded, with sugared peels.
The finish brings apricot conserve on granary toast, with dry citrus notes.
