Auchentoshan American Oak is a delicate Lowland single malt, triple distilled and bottled at 40% in a 1 litre bottle. It was aged in American ex-bourbon barrels.
That style of ageing shows in the glass, with the hallmarks of ex-bourbon wood: grass and citrus, vanilla and plenty of coconut. Spice and white peaches follow at the end of the tasting.
