Auchentoshan – Blood Oak

Auchentoshan Blood Oak is a single malt from the Lowlands of Scotland, where the distillery has operated since 1823. Auchentoshan is one of the few triple-distilled single malts in Scotland. The name comes from its maturation in bourbon and red wine casks, which give the whisky deep crimson hues and a spicy character with red fruit and ginger. The nose is bourbon vanilla and coconut with zesty citrus. The palate brings raspberry, damson plum, vanilla and maraschino cherry, and the finish is long, with redcurrant and oak spice.
