Auchentoshan Three Wood is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky from a distillery that has been working since 1823. Auchentoshan is one of the few Scottish distilleries that triple-distils its malt. The whisky is matured in three types of cask: American bourbon, then Spanish Oloroso sherry, and finally Pedro Ximenez sherry. The result is rich and complex, with toffee and sherry flavours. It is described as fruity and syrupy, with hazelnut, hints of cinnamon and lemon, and a butterscotch sweetness.
