Dark Oak is a single malt Scotch whisky from Auchentoshan, bottled at 43% vol in a 1 litre bottle.
It is matured in a combination of oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximenez sherry and bourbon casks, which gives the name its meaning. Auchentoshan is known for a light, triple-distilled Lowland style, and here that meets a strong influence from the wood.
The result is full of stewed fruit and warming Christmas spice.
