Auchroisk – 10 Year Old Flora & Fauna

This is a 10 year old Auchroisk from the Flora & Fauna series, matured in bourbon casks. Auchroisk first released it in 2001. The distillery stands on a hilltop, visible from Rothes. Its name is Gaelic for ford of the red stream, after the Mulben Burn, which provides cooling water. Soft spring water from Dorie's Well is the main reason for its site. The label describes smoke and nutty sweetness, with a silky feel from the water and a dry, well balanced finish.
