A 10-year-old Speyside single malt from Auchroisk, bottled at 43%.
Light and pleasant, it opens sweet, fresh and balanced before drying to a short finish. The palate is doughy and buttery with a textured feel, with hints of lemon and pineapple and a slight aniseed and smoky edge.
The nose is sweet and fresh, with ground almonds and dry marzipan. The palate starts sweetish with some acidity, and the finish is surprisingly dry, fairly short and well balanced.
