Auchroisk – 11 Year Old 1st Fill St-Estèphe Wine Barrique (50cl, 57.1%)

An 11 year old Speyside single malt from Auchroisk, finished in a first-fill Saint-Estèphe red wine barrique. It is bottled at 57.1% in a 50cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The malt is sweet and fruity with a touch of toasted grain, and the wine cask adds red fruit and gentle woody notes. The nose offers sweet malt, hazelnuts, red fruit and cask oak. On the palate come malt, sweet blackcurrant, vanilla, pear and rich caramel, leading to a fruity finish with delicate wood.
